Since 2007, our presence in the rail sector has been of huge importance. We take our work here seriously, so much so that we have a specialist team of rail experts focussing their efforts on nothing but rail. With a full understanding of the requirements and safety implications, we know what it takes to deliver projects on time and to budget with health & safety at the forefront of everything we do. It is for these reasons we are well on our way to becoming the bespoke signage supplier of choice for rail operators, stations, and rail contractors the length and breadth of the country.

We implemented the largest UK station project when we delivered the wayfinding signs for the platforms and concourses for Network Rail at London Bridge. Our signs guide the way at world-famous London stations like Kings Cross and St. Pancras, and historic stations like Blackfriars and Edinburgh Waverley to name a few. We recently produced the first-ever sign for Great British Railways using the new typeface developed by Margaret Calvert that went on display at the Design Museum in London – yet another important milestone project entrusted to us.

As part of the Crossrail Elizabeth Line programme, we designed, supplied and installed the customised signs at Canary Wharf station, and acted as principal contractor and subcontractor at Farringdon, Woolwich and Abbey Wood stations, all of which were substantial projects with complex sets of requirements and high-specification products.

We have worked for many of the train operators over the years to create their indoor and outdoor station branding along branch lines. Clients such as Abelio, South Eastern, Southern, South West Trains, Lorol, and First Great Western have given the responsibility to take care of all their signage requirements to us. Notably, we signed the Crossrail East network for MTR where we designed, prototyped, developed and rolled out the station cable containment frieze that is now commonly adopted.

Our three in-house manufacturing facilities are capable of supplying products that cover the full wayfinding family, including simple platform signs using vinyl graphics, fingerpost signs, fabricated stainless steel wayfinding and mounting brackets, LED illuminated lightboxes, digital signs in the form of totems with LED and LCD displays, and large-format retail advertising digital displays.

As with any sector, design options can be demonstrated via virtual reality which can take out cost and time spent during the development phase.
